Leona has supported our 2 children for over 2 years. She has dual post graduate qualifications in dyslexia and speech and language therapy. This has extended her area of practice and expertise to a more advanced level. This leads towards intervention being delivered and tailored specifically to the child’s literacy and language needs, which we had not been offered before. Leona’s approaches are all evidence based and continually reviewed by her on an individual basis for each child, to ensure successful outcomes are achieved. Our son has made considerable progress with his spelling and speech production, concentrating on auditory skills and self awareness of anatomical positioning of his mouth and tongue. In simple terms, Leona offers highly specialised therapy, which is rarely provided or available, due to the experience and additional qualifications that are needed. We are very grateful for her continued support.

Leona has provided me with private supervision for six years. I am a Speech and Language Therapist who began working independently within a school environment, on my own, straight after graduating. Therefore it was important I received private supervision straight away. Leona has supported me to complete my preceptorship within my first 18 months of qualification and continued to support me in a number of ways since then. My supervision sessions are led by me and my needs, however Leona is able to guide me when I have needed direction and focus. Leona is a friendly, kind and very knowledgeable person and Speech and language Therapist. She has directed me on a number of occasions and provided me with invaluable resources, experience, and knowledge. Her knowledge of current research is exceptional and the understanding of a child as an individual is invaluable. She has also been able to confidentially draw on her own experiences and provide excellent insight into not only complex individual cases but universal and structural approaches. I would highly recommend Leona as both a Speech and Language Therapist and a private Supervisor. Leona is an exceptional Speech and Language Therapist. She is skilled in many areas and uses a range of techniques, including prompt, to encourage my son's speech and language development. Leona's bubbly, engaging and positive manner is perfect and she has effortlessly engaged my son in a wide range of games and activities since they first met, when he was just two years old. My sons profound speech delay has significantly impacted on his confidence, but we have watched him change so quickly now that Leona has helped him find his voice. He's much louder, confident and tries so hard to talk and communicate using the techniques that Leona has shown him, with great success. We are still in the early stages of our journey with Leona, as my son continues to develop his speech and language with her until she has maximised his full potential.
